The Support Of Trial And Punishment Of Abarghou Terrorists

At midnight ,13^th of Day,1328,some Bahai’s attacked to a poor ,religious old woman called Mrs, Soghra (who had some activities against Bahai’s) and ruthlessly killed her five offsprings ( Ma’soumeh 15, Khadijeh11, Bibi 8, and Ali Akbar 6 , …) and herself in bed by spade and pick through intriguing Bahai’s coteries in Yazd and suburbs in the village “Robat” (one of villages of Abarghou in Yazd ). According to an indictment which was set by public prosecutor of Yazd city (seyyed Mohammad Jalal ) against accused people after this disaster , the punches which were hit to lips ,mouth and jaws of murder victims.

Announcing the news of this tragic crime among Muslim nation of Iran created a great tumult against this deviant sect a vigilance wave and Islamic movement (against Autarchy and Colonialism ) had recently rose in our country . The notification and revelation about the devastating influence of Bahai’s in key posts of government by the leaders of the movement ( such as Ayat Allah Kashani) had intensified people’s anger against this sect as accomplices of Pahlavi autocratic regime and its foreign supporters). This note has been demonstrated in Ayat Allah Kashani’s declarations in those years ( specially from winter, 1329 on) more than any other notes.

Before that time, Abarghou was one centers of Bahai activities against Islam .By coming some Bahai missioners to this city recently from Bahai coterie in Yazd, the anti-Islamic proselytization of mentioned sect in the region had been intensified. This issue along with vituperating of some Bahai’s to Islamic holy things (for example ,burning the Holy Quran) had caused for religious sensations of Muslim people to be aroused and Mrs, Soghra was one of brave Muslim woman who had some activities against this deviant sect. So, her savage murder and her offsprings were planned to afraid other people. The indictment of the public prosecutor of Yazd city (seyyed Mohammad Jalali) includes an extensive explanation of identity and function of intriguants and agents of this disaster .

At that time, Bahai’s had penetrated in key posts of the country, and foreign power supported them in different ways. They wanted to threat and suborn the attendants of the file a high officials by bribing and their political influence in the government and the court. They prevented the firm and fast trial and punishment of accused people. Scholars and people weren’t quiet, in return. So, they tried to prevent the influence and unfairness of the sect by putting the attendants under pressure. This was the reason that investigating the file took a lot of time. It was even transferred from city to city.

At the middle of Mehr, 1329 some Bahai’s were captured for the above mentioned murders and in Azar 1329 the then prime minister (Razm Ara ) commanded the investigation and taking action of Abarghou file. At the end of Day 1329, the file was sent to Kerman.

In the month Day of that year, following the complaint by Muslims of Abarghou concerned with delay in the trial of Bahai’s accused to the murder of Mrs, Soghra and her offsprings, late Kashani declared that he took some actions to change the attendant of the file by the name of \" Monshi Zadeh \". By speaking with attendants, the file was going to be referred to Tehran’s prosecutor’s office. A night in Isfand 1329, Afsah-al Motekallemin (Mohammad Hossein Afsah, the judge and Lankarani’s friend and old fellow fighter) went to Kashani’s house and spoke to him in private. Then Kashani went in and \" some of his retainers were speaking that they must cancel bazaar for some days in order for the file to be referred to the court, in this way bazaar merchants must strike in the court in order for the execution verdict against the murderer not to be issued. Just like Dr. Berjis’s - a Bahai physician and missioner lived in Kashan who was killed by muslims of city- murderers .\"

In Farvardin, 1330 , the file accompanied with 15 people accused to Abarghou disaster was sent from Kerman to Tehran and it was appointed that their trial must be done in the first branch of Criminal Supreme Court. Eventually, the trial of Bahai’s started in spring, 1333 and in Ordibehesht , the judge ruled to punish the criminals including hanging one of them at the place of Crime occurrence .

It was famous that Bahai’s were going to suborn the judges and pay nearly one million Rials to them in order to cancel the verdict of execution or put the accused person to flight at the middle of the road between Tehran – Abarghou. Definitely, the Scholars were careful and gave necessary orders to the attendants. According to a report agent of regime, the first night of khordad, 1333 Mr, Mostafavi (Ayat Allah kashani’s bridegroom) along with counselor of the supreme court of state met Kashani in his house and chatted about the trial of Bahai’s accused to the murder of Muslims in Abarghou. Kashani advised them to hasten issuing the verdict of the trial Bahai’s.

Eventually, Kashani invited the counselor to his house because he was informed that Bahai’s are going to suborn the judges of the court and are ready to pay a sum equivalent to one million Rials in order to cancel the verdict of execution of one of criminals. Kashani prevented him to do this action and; as if, the counselor conformed the above mentioned matters and added the issued verdict has been conformed and he will send the accused person with one officer and enough policemen to the site in order for the verdict to be executed. Meanwhile, Kashani has mentioned about the possibility of escaping the accused person at the middle of the road. \" During the trial of Bahai’s of Abarghou in Tehran, Haj Khodadad Saber Lankarani ( an outstanding lawyer of the court and the former chairman of the court of Mashhad ) acted as a deputy of murder victims family bravely ( apparently it was dangerous ) and defended them. Late Saber used Lankarani and his friend’s counseling consensus and intellectual collaboration. Haj Hashem Lankarani (Lankarani’s cousin) deciared: \" Late khodadad Saber was one of top disciples of Haj Hossin Lankarani and he was from Lankaran originally\" He had come to Iran as an immigrant. Saber’s bridegroom (Colonel seyyed Jaَfar (Nour-alddin) pour Sajjedi who was one of religious and belligerent officers of Pahlavi dynasty was Lankarani’s intimate and permanent friend. Pointing out the scientific ranks of Late Haj sheik Hossein Lankarani , Mr Alimi (one of knowledgeable scholars of west of Tehran and Lankarani’s old friend ) declared on 22^nd of Farvardin 1373 :

God know that Ayat Allah Lankarani was wonderful. He remembered what he had read … specially when late Haj Khodadad Saber was meeting him, they were discussing about scientific issues. So, political issues were canceled.

Late Saber was the chairman of court in Mashhad and was one of notable lawyers of the court. He was familiar with important books related to philosophy and jurisprudence such as\" Kefayah\" and\" Asfar\" and he was so skillful and elite in court trials. He was coming to Lankarani’s house and was learning scientific matters. Saber was even coming to Qom and was buying cigarette and some “Sohan” after he was visiting Hadrat Ma^’soumeh’s (peace be upon her) Holy shrine as a pilgrim. One hour or one hour and a half before sunset, he was going to Feyzieh school and knowledgeable scholars was gathering and discussing about scientific issues. He said: I wish a Feyzieh school had also been established near Tehran’s court and the problems had been solved. So, we would get rid of the problems. Sigh …”

One day he encountered Polymath Tabatabaee author of \"Al-Mizan\" then Holy Quran interpretation. Saber asked me: who is he? I said: He is polymath Tabatabaee. We sat near him. Saber asked him some complex philosophical questions. The Polymath answered him usefully and in brief. Saber wanted to kiss his hands and said to me: I hadn’t seen this man before. Is there anybody similar to him in the world!? I hadn’t seen him before. Because of your blessing, I could visit him.

Saber came to Lankarani attendance when Late Ayat Allah Broujerdi was alive and Bahai’s had killed six Muslims in Abarghou and Mr, Falsafi was speaking against them on pulpit. The file of murder victims had been sent to prosecutor’s office in Tehran and Mr, Saber acted as a deputy of murder victims family. We participated in the court sessions according to Saber’s request and Mr, Lankarani’s emphasis while Bahai’s had sat on the other aide. One day before starting the court Saber went to Mr, Lankarani’s house and Mr, Lankarani guided him. He had brought the book \" Bayan\" and \" Aghdas\" ( written by Ali Mohammad Bab and Hossein Ali Baha ,Babi and Bahai leaders ) from Mashhad.

In the trial day, the hero appeared in the battleground. Ouch, ouch, ouch! When he started speaking as an attorney of Mrs, Soghra and her offsprings who were tragically murdered . He joined the fray! At the middle of his speech, he suddenly shouted: why do you shun the Muslim’s blood?! And added:\"I swear by Soghra and her offsprings’ blood,\" I remain alive while the tyrants kill them?! He managed the session for 2 hours and 10 minutes. They allowed to rest after the break, he came back and started speaking. Bahai’s displayed signs of uneasiness! He said: I never rest till I wreak vengeance on the killers of Soghra. It is said to me to accept proxy for them and I accepted.

At night when I went to Lankarani attendance, Mr Saber was there, too. He narrated the events and explained his defenses. When Saber was reading his defenses, late Lankarani enjoyed Saber’s enthusiasm and intense feelings in defending the truth. Mr.Lankarani had a strange feeling. Saber said: Sir, some sirs ordered me to join them but I didn’t accept. I don’t want money, too. If they kill me, I will finish the defense. God willing, I will be successful. Mr,Lankarani was giving him special advices and Saber was writing his statements down for tomorrow. He was stating those statements in the court.
