Did You Know?

By: Dr. Mohammed Alam Qurayshi

“Shoqi Effendi”     “Abdul Baha”

-  Abdul Baha had prophesized twenty four successors of Baha’u’llah. But it ended with the first successor, Shoghi Effendi, who because died childless.

-  The Bahais speak about unity in political realm. But the fact remains that Bab’s successor Sobhe Azal and Bahaullah themselves couldn’t get along and had nasty tiff with each other. As a result they were banished from Turkey to Cyprus and Israel respectively.

-  The Baha’is keep harping about political unity and universal governance. Easier said than done. With various sects and sub-sects the Bahai’s first themselves have to put their divided house in order.

-  Sobhe Azal really loved Bab so much that he developed physical relations with his wife after his mentor passed away.

-  One of Baha’is principles from the twelve they’ve officially listed, is of a universal language. Decades after Abdul Baha’s death we are still waiting for the new language to be invented.

-  The Bahais plunder the innocent and murder their opponents and yet claim to spread unity! Bahaullah murdered Mohammad Isfahani, Aga Jan Kashani, Mirza Reza Quds, Nasrullah Tafrashi and Mahmood Haj on 22nd January 1872 in Akka. As a result Bahaullah and his sons Abdul Baha and Mohammad Ali got six months jail sentence, while others served sentence for seven years and some of them even served for 15 years (Nigashte Haji Maftoon, page 232).
