Baha’is are known for proselytizing non-Baha’is to accept their point of view. They make every effort to convert people of other religions (except Israeli Jews) to their Faith. Their words are supposedly centered around the teachings of Bahaullah, primarily the 12 principles.

The Baha’is speak about a wonderful world, wonderful people and an ideal society. A society living in peace, a society with no signs of prejudice, all treated equally, everyone given an opportunity to education and also an auxiliary language to help communicate with everybody. Moreover, they present themselves as positive human beings, not rejecting any religion, and not calling anyone towards Baha’i Faith as all religions came from God and you are deemed correct in your own right to follow your religion. They recognize the validity of all religions even today (that they have not been abrogated) and you can continue with them.

With such attractive teachings, they seek to have all unsuspecting individuals enrolled into their Faith. But there is a lot more to the Baha’i Faith then what the propagandists say. These are only attractive words to cover the bitter reality of the Baha’i Faith.

There is not one, but there are many reasons why one should not be a Baha’i. The most important being, that Baha’i Faith is not a religion. Religion by definition is the path determined by God for human salvation in this world as well as the hereafter. Baha’i Faith does not have its origins in the divine.

To explain this further, we all agree that there is never any contradiction in what comes from God.

Do they not then consider the Qur\'an carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions. (Surah Nisa: Verse 82)

If one looks at the Baha’i Faith, you will be astonished with the staggering contradictions and double dealings. For instance, the Baha’is declare that women and men are equals, but women are barred from the House of Justice. If the Baha’i Faith is a universal religion, then why are Israeli Jews not welcomed? Bab made a variety of claims right from the being the Bab of Imam Mahdi (pbuh) to a Prophet to a Messenger. So also did Bahaullah graduate in his claims.

Since the path wasn’t laid down by God, but was determined by the Baha’i leadership, flip-flopping as they traversed it. I say it so confidently because Bahaullah has failed miserably in his test as a Prophet or as a Manifestation of God.

There are no prophecies about Bab or Bahaullah in previous scriptures. Previous prophets have clearly introduced the next prophet. Jew and Christian monks awaited the advent of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). So much so that Jews inhabited the city of Medina and the entire area of Khyber awaited Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). Similarly, Prophet Moses (pbuh) had informed the coming of both Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).

Quran, on the other hand, has in the most unambiguous words declared: Muhammad (pbuh) is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the last (end) of the Prophets. And Allah is Ever All-Aware of everything. (Surah Ahzab: Verse 40)

No Muslim ever waited for a new Prophet. Muslims await the coming of the Mahdi (pbuh), at whose hands Allah will fill the earth with justice and bring peace to the world. He is not a Prophet but a follower of the religion of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).

Interestingly, the first claim of Bab (the so-called harbinger of the Baha’i Faith) was that of being the Bab (door) to Imam Mahdi (pbuh); and so many unsuspecting Muslims accepted Bab’s declaration. It is only from the writings of Bab that Bahaullah derived that he was “the One Whom God will Manifest”; though there is no evidence that Bahaullah was intended with it.

So in short:
(a) The Holy Quran and previous scriptures had called an end to divine religions with Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)
(b) Thus, Bab’s original claim was not that of a Prophet, but that of the Door to Imam Mahdi (pbuh)
(c) Bahaullah does not have any mention in any of the previous scriptures
(d) So much so, that Bab’s writings also do not intend to foretell the coming of Bahaullah.

There is an interesting point to be noted in the entire Bab-Bahaullah episode. Previous religions were abrogated with the advent of a Prophet who was bringer of religion. Nevertheless, during their tenure all divine religions were complete and no changes were brought to them, until abrogated.

For instance, with regards Islam the Holy Quran declares: This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.
(Surah Maida: Verse 3)

Bab died before completing the Persian Bayaan and thus the Babi faith was left incomplete. In order to fix this, Bahaullah wrote Iqan as the completion of Bayaan. Never in history have we seen that the new religion completes the previous religion and then abrogates it. This is characteristic only with the Baha’i Faith.

Having said that, the Baha’i Faith, too, is still incomplete. We do not know the auxiliary language which will be leveraged for global communication (Bahaullah proposed Arabic, Abdul Baha suggested Esperanto, the House of Justice is inclined towards English). While the Baha’is talk of World Peace, they have no laid path to achieve its establishment. Baha’is claim credit for any development in the direction of peace (be it the United Nations or anything else), while the Baha’i history has blood on its hands. Finally, what has Bahaullah said about the next Manifestation? If the Babi faith can be abrogated in less than two decades without anyone outside Iran and not even many in Iran knowing about it, it is about time the Baha’i faith is abrogated, if not already done.

Before I end this article, let me remind you that Bahais state that all religions are from God and adherents of all religions will find salvation. While all the religions are explicit that salvation is reached only with their teachings. So as per the Baha’i philosophy you will still go to heaven even if you are Muslim, Christian, Hindu, etc, but Islam, Christianity or Hinduism are explicit that you will not find salvation if you are Baha’i. So any sensible person will NOT be a Baha’i.
