Two questions answered by Imam Khomeini (P.H.)

Referring to history provides useful experiences out of the previous periods of time for human beings according to historians. For example, the trade union of Qom city asked the following questions on Aban 1341, that is, 53 years ago and great Ayatullah Ruhullah (P.H.) answered

Concerning the elections of Eyalati and Velayati:

1) What’s your opinion about the prime minister’s interview with the press in Aban, 21, 1341?

2) Is the telegraph sent to great clergymen concerning the issue is convincing or not?

Imam Khomeyni (P.H.) answer:

In the name of God, the compassionate, the Merciful

According to me, the interview with the prime minister was illegal because what was passed in the cabinet is useless to be printed in the press. However, there are some notes in the prime minister’s telegraph which are interesting to be mentioned.

1) His interpretation of the decree of the councils of ministers is illegal. The prime minister’s role is beguiling of people. The danger for the holy Quran due to passing this decree is against the Islamic religion and legitimation. No Muslim person can see the holy Quran be endangered.

2) What he has written concerning this issue that the religious minorities were taking as oath by their holy books is false. At no time, they brought Zoroastrian book or other deviant books to the parliament.

3) They have written that the voter and votee are Muslims in the Islamic country. It isn’t related to the decree and it is illegal. It doesn’t convince us. Thus, the danger created by this decree which has likely been provided by the Jewish or Zionistic spies is against Islam and the independence of the country to destroy the economy of Iran. I am surprised that why don’t the minister take on such heavy burden of responsibility and don’t revise it.

Being humble for the religion and legislation, revising the decrees and being resignated to the religions are signs of bravery and civilization. Disobeying the legislation is of the habits go back the middle Ages and is against the decorum. Based on my duty, I announce the Iranian people and Muslims concerning a danger. The holy Quran and Islam are endangered. The Zionists have appeared in Iran in the form of Baha’is to endanger the independence and economy of the country. In a short period of time, they will control the economy of this country by the mortal silence of Muslims. The Iranian TV is a spy base for the Jewish.

4) It is surprising for me that the prime minister telegraphed me concerning the women election. He says this election was similar to the city hall one and the women’s involvement had been passed.
