Baqiyyat Allah in Baha’ism doctrine

The interesting point in the Baha’i works and books is that these books and resorting to them are adequate for rejecting and contradicting the cult. However, the Baha’i proselytizers were to justify the contradictions existing in this cult which reject the origin of Baha’ism. One of the terms used in Ali Muhammad Shirazi’s (Bab) works is the term “Baqiyyat Allah” [that which Allah leaveth with you]. In some of Ali Muhammad Shirazi’s works, he has introduced himself as the slave of Baqiyyatullah.[1]

The Baha’i proselytizers interpreted the word Baqiyyatullah by Ali Muhammad Shirazi as Hussein Ali Nouri. They say: “The Excellency Bab dedicates himself to the Excellency Bahaullah as he says: “O. Baqiyyatullah, surely I dedicated myself top you and I am satisfied with being cursed in your path. I have no wish but being killed in your affection path.[2],[3]

Nevertheless, to answer to this ridiculous justification, it should be said that:

First, Ali Muhammad Shirazi (Bab) whom Baha’is call the twelfth Imam has over and over confessed that Imam Zaman or Baqiyyat Allah (May God hasten his reappearance) is the offspring of the eleventh Imam and his father’s name is Imam Hassan Askari (P.H.)[4]. Also, Ali Muhammad reminds two absences for him the minor and then major based on Shiites’ view and contrary to the Baha’is one.[5] None of these features exist in Ali Muhammad Shirazi and the Baha’is leader (Bahaullah)

Second, the term Baqiyyat Allah has been used and applied for the twelfth Imam from the period of time when the holy Imams (P.H.) lived till now. According to a tradition: A person asked Imam Sadeq (P.H.): “It is admissible to call Imam Zaman (P.H.) as the commander of the Faithful? “Imam Sadeq (P.H.) answered back: “No, since God has called just Imam Ali (P.H.) with this title.” The person asked again: “How should we send peace to Imam Mehdi (P.H.)? “Imam Sadeq (P.H.) answered: “Peace be upon you, O’Baqiyyatullah.”[6]

Thus, we figured out that the title Baqiyyatullah has been just used for Imam Zaman (P.H.)
